GLP-1 is known as incretin as same as GIP (Glucose-dependent Insulinotropic Polypeptide), it promotes secretion of insulin from _ cells of the isles of Langerhans in the pancreas as glucose dependently. GLP-1 (Glucagon Like Peptide-1) is a transcriptional product of proglucagon gene as same as glucagon and one of gastrointestinal hormone which is secreted from L cells of lower section of the small intestine. Glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) is an important incretin and its receptor GLP-1R is widely distributed in tissues such as liver, pancreas, brain, heart and intestine. This study aims to explore the effect of CGA on NAFLD induced by HFD and whether it regulates the gut microbiota and Glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1). Females who are sexually active and able to become pregnant must agree to use birth control for duration of study if randomized to Saxenda/Placebo. Although this is a big step, it doesn_t address the racial gap between diabetics who are eligible for these drugs.
