The calendar may be useful to you as a self-binding system. If you keep dragging some venture alongside since you "haven_t made time" for it: consider making a time block within the calendar, and sticking to it. Some individuals use the calendar as their whole todo list. I believe this type of works if your todo record is very coarse grained: "buy groceries" and "go to the dentist". But I have a very high-quality-grained todo list, and putting my tasks within the calendar would make it overwhelming. Another drawback with calendars is they're too time-sure: if I make a calendar block to do one thing, and i don_t do it, the calendar doesn_t understand it. It just sits there, forgotten, prior to now. In a todo listing, all the pieces gets dragged alongside until I explicitly full it. Along the identical strains, the calendar will not be good for amassing vague ideas and plans for things you want to do in the future, while todo lists are perfect for this.
